Greetings and Salutations!

I hope this message finds you well, enjoying the color of my favorite season, awaiting the arrival of winter. I spent most of September working on music projects and playing guitar at the Cortez Cultural Center. I also played a gig at the Turquoise Raven Art Gallery and had an opportunity to meet some wonderful folks, artists and patrons alike. Now, we can look forward to an exciting winter!

I'm planning to get a MacBook Pro to initiate a host of new projects. In addition to writing, editing, and conducting research, my interests include GIS (geographic information systems), music production, graphic design, photo editing, modular synthesis, pen & ink work, and photography. Yes, retirement has been a tremendous blessing, time always being of the essence.

A New Podcast and the Continuation of Sharp Silhouette Literary Magazine

As some of you may recall, I announced the start of my podcast series last year but quickly became sidetracked by other projects, not least the completion of Prose Artifact: On the Material Culture of Memory, my third book. Happily, a new computer will enable me to create a YouTube channel, a platform dedicated to a general overview of the humanities, including excerpts from my own work. Fun things await, to be sure!

As for Sharp Silhouette, I hope to continue publishing the magazine in the spring of 2026. I launched the publication during my career with the City of San Diego, a very busy phase of my life. Thankfully, retirement has provided me with time to resume the project.

Thank you, Colorado!

It was wonderful to meet so many great people at the Cortez Cultural Center, and I thank all of you. Soon, I'll be heading back to Southern Arizona, wintering in Quartzsite and Havasu City, where I look forward to continuing with my projects.

The Cortez Public Library has been a wonderful resource, its nonfiction section being filled with quality books. And the director of the Montezuma Heritage Museum provided me with a great deal of information. Hopefully, we will meet again!

As always, I thank you for reading my work. And, if you are a new subscriber, please go back to earlier uploads. I'll be on hiatus for a few more weeks, so I invite everyone to enjoy the archived pieces.

Best wishes and drop me a line at palmer.literary@gmail.com
